Chroma Solvent Finishing Varnishes are non yellowing, strippable varnishes for acrylics & oils. Highly recommended for covering the Atelier Interactive acrylics. These are mineral turpentine based varnishes & should be used in a well ventilated area.Available in 3 different finishes, gloss, satin & invisible. GLOSS: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Is a strippable varnish which allows paintings to be cleaned by swabbing away the layer of varnish with mineral spirits or turpentine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀If you wanted to reduce the gloss, you can dilute with mineral spirits or turpentine. Dilution 1:1 ratio produces a pleasant sheen, or 1:2 ratio / 1:3 ratio of varnish to mineral spirits or turpentine, can produce an almost invisible protective layer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀SATIN:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Is also a strippable varnish where it produces a non-reflective, low-sheen protective coating. Can be applied directly from the container, or dilute with mineral spirits if desired. Within the varnish some setting of flatting agent can occur so stir carefully before use. INVISIBLE: Intensifies colour contrast and protects from fungal attack without altering the surface appearance of paintings done in oils, acrylics, watercolours or Atelier paints. It provides a protective coating without altering the surface sheen of the painting. Is a strippable varnish and dries without a trace, even on watercolour paper. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀You apply with an even coat with a broad brush and place the painting in a slightly tilted position to ensure that the varnish does not collect in pools. (These varnish's may vary in colour from clear to straw. HOWEVER it will always dry clear and never yellow over time.)
