Why not just use a toothbrush and dishwash soap? Well, do you use a broom with dishwash soap on your precious car? Usually not, you use a special soap for the care with a nice wax and good sponge. This is the same, your watch will benefit from a good clean now and then but you want to use a tool that is made for it.
