Our Tallow Quality Promise We do not use commercially purchased or deodorized tallow. Many mass-produced tallow products are rendered at very high temperatures, then deodorized and sometimes bleached to remove natural scent and color. This process strips away many of the delicate, skin-loving nutrients that make real tallow so beneficial in the first place. At Herb House Apothecary, we use only pure suet, never meat trimmings, sourced from a trusted local farm right here in Central New York. We render it ourselves in small batches at low, controlled temperatures to preserve its natural integrity, vitamins, and fatty acid profile. A Note About Summer Heat: Please note this is a natural, tallow and oil-based product.
