Philip Silvershein invented the Chunky Candy Bar in the mid 1930's. The shape of the Chunky bar was made from a pyramid of Chocolate with the top cut off. Silvershein named the can dy after his granddaughter, who at the time was a chunky baby. •Silvershein sold the Chunky Candy Bar to his friend, Mr Wrigley (Stick of chewing gum anyone?) who then sold the idea to Nestle.. who still makes them today. •Milk Chocolate with Peanuts & Raisins.
