Here at America’s Gardens we like to mix our own special blend of soils for our plants. This allows us to make sure that each plant gets its own unique composition of substrates to make the plant feel most at home. Our Chunky Chatt Aroid Mix allows more air to reach the aroid’s roots just as it would in the wild. The aroid family includes Philodendrons, Anthuriums, Pothos, Monsteras, Raphidophoras just to name a few. We find the best mix for growing aroids is 50% blended coco coir and worm castings, 30% coco croutons, 20% grade 4 coarse perlite and horticultural charcoal, with a handful of shredded sphagnum.
