With “Aluminaut Rescures Alvin” the tone flips from the microcosm of the insect world to that of boundless seas, teeming with life. “Abiogenesis” stands out with its high-pitched synths, groovy delayed bass, and wild percussion — giving the track a frantic yet organic feel. Though the album portrays the vastness of the ocean, it is gentle at times. “A Squid and Her Eggs” is a great example of how intimate Chypho’s songs can be. Chypho is extremely adept at illustrating scenes through his music. His works are cohesive collections of stories — episodes if you will — that convey specific ideas while leaving room for interpretation.
