Cifran 250 MG Tablet Manufactured By: Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd.Contains: Ciprofloxacin Description: Cifran 250 MG Tablet is an antibiotic that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, gonococcal infection, etc. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu, or other viral infections since it is active against infections caused by bacteria only. This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly population as it increases the risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture. Uses: Pneumonia This medicine is used in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia which is a most common type of lung infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae. Bronchitis This medicine is used in the treatment of bronchitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Cystitis This medicine is used in the treatment of cystitis which is a bladder infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, Klebsiella pneumoniae, etc. Prostatitis This medicine is used in the treatment of Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland that produces semen) caused by Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas and Enterococcus species.
