Jacobaea maritima (syn. Senecio cineraria) 'Silver Dust' is a robust evergreen perennial with excellent silver-grey foliage. Foliage is soft and lacy, deeply lobed, with occasional yellow flowers interspersed throughout during summer. This compact foliage plant is an excellent choice for creating contrast in the garden; it looks fantastic against dark-flowered or dark-leaved shrubs, and thrives in beds, containers, borders, rockeries - almost anywhere in the garden. Not just excellent visual interest, these plants are also nearly impossible to kill, being tolerant of drought, frost, salt, wind, poor soil, and even fire (to an extent). Be careful though, as young plants require more water and better-sheltered positions than established plants - consider shading from afternoon sun until established. A must-have foliage plant for gardeners working in less-than ideal conditions. Position: Full sunHeight: 30cmWidth: 30cm
