The CCN110L is a circlip used to retain differential gears within the axle assembly on Land Rover Defender and related models. It locates and secures the diff gears axially, preventing lateral movement that would cause premature wear or gear failure. A worn, distorted, or missing circlip can result in differential noise, increased play, and ultimately diff failure if not addressed during rebuild or inspection. Key Features Circlip design provides a positive retaining method for differential gears within the axle casing Should be replaced as a matter of course during any differential strip-down or rebuild - circlips are not reliably reusable once removed Supplied to OEM specification for correct fitment and retention force Check the differential sun and planet gears, thrust washers, and spider shaft for wear when replacing this component Vehicle Fitment Fits Defender (1986–2006 and 2007 onwards), Discovery 1 (1989–1998), Range Rover Classic, and Range Rover (1995–2002), across axle differential gear retaining applications.
