Cis-3-Hexenyl Acetate (an ester of CIs-3-hexenol) is the sharper and more powerful member of the leaf alcohol family. It is found naturally in numerous essential oils and absolutes and is indispensable when making muguet or fresh air notes in fragrances. While often used in combination with Cis-3-hexenol, this material works wonderfully alone and we highly recommend having both in your perfumery organ. Blends beautifully with Verdantol™, Muguet bases, Jasmine Sambac, and Rose Absolute where a trace of Cis-3-hexenyl can take it in the direction of the lovely green Rose Bourbon.
