This sculpture combines an antique eyeglass frame, reminiscent of early scientific instruments, with a couture thread-cutting tool, fused together through fossilized clay. The object feels less assembled than unearthed, resembling a relic from a system shaped by observation and control. Uniting lenses and scissors, the piece operates through a dual gesture of precision: to see and to cut. Vision becomes an act of selection and framing, while cutting suggests correction — the removal of what does not belong.
