Saisons are Wallonian rustic farmhouse ales, traditionally made by farmers for their saisonnier or seasonal farm labourers. Traditionally thirst quenching, we offer a more modern style, higher in strength and flavour. Citron Soleil is a modern interpretation, a stronger full-flavoured brew. A sunny hue, this golden ale has been aged for 2 months in the bottle. We chose a simple grain bill that showcases Gladfield’s superb malts and added lemon zest, white pepper and coriander seed. Paired with floral and citrusy hops, our French saison yeast imparts massive character and a dry finish. A perfect refresher after a hard day in the fields or streets! Salute! Food pairing: Fresh bread and strong washed rind cheese. Witlof gratin. Sugared cream on pancakes or waffles. Pale golden, with a fluffy white head. Sweet spicy citrus aromas. Refreshing yet full flavoured, candied lemon with a hint of earthiness, subtle funk farmhouse lemon spice note. Very moreish. Show more
