One of only three signature original oil paintings released as part of this milestone collection, Citron Vert is now available to collectors for the very first time. . THE STORY BEHIND THE ART Some paintings begin with a place. Citron Vert began with a color. Inspired by the vibrant citrus gardens of Europe and the effortless beauty of homes where nature and design exist in perfect harmony, this painting explores the joyful relationship between bold color and timeless elegance. The luminous golden chartreuse background radiates warmth while vibrant green citrus and expressive branches create movement, abundance, and a sense of life that extends beyond the canvas. I wanted this piece to feel fresh and unexpected—a painting that immediately brightens a room while remaining sophisticated enough to live beautifully for decades. The loose brushwork invites the eye to wander through the composition as though strolling beneath a flourishing citrus grove, where sunlight filters through the leaves and every season feels like summer. Although Citron Vert first appeared at my private Windwood Equestrian Designer Luncheon in October 2025, it was never offered for purchase. From the beginning, I knew this painting belonged in a special collection. Together with Blue Lemonade II and Orangerie, it was intentionally reserved for the debut of my House & Garden UK Collection, celebrating my feature in House & Garden UK. Whether displayed as a striking focal point or collected alongside its companion originals, Citron Vert was created to bring light, optimism, and enduring beauty into the spaces where life happens.
