The "Long Walk" or "The Claddagh" areas of Galway are famous for many things but high on that list for me has to be its impressive population of over 100 swans. No trip can be comp lete without seeing at least one take off , they need a lengthy aquatic runway, seeming to walk on water to gain a speed of up to 35km per hour!
