Ottocento Bijeli comes from Clai, based in Istria on Croatia's Adriatic coast. The blend brings together Chardonnay, Malvasia, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc into a single white bu ilt to reflect the region rather than any one grape. Expect a wine with body and grip, more textured than a typical crisp white. Malvasia's stone-fruit and almond notes meet the lift of Sauvignon Blanc and the roundness of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Serve at 10-12°C with shellfish, pasta, white or oily fish, or poultry - a wine flexible enough for a mixed table. Show more
