One of Tibet's greatest masters, Dakpo Tashi Namgyal is famous for writing comprehensive text on The Moonlight of Mahamudra. Clarifying the Natural State is a shorter and more practical manual that covers the path from mindfulness to complete enlightenment using the profound instructions of Mahamudra. Thrangu Rinpoche recommends this book with: "The words of Dakpo Tashi Namgyal are unique. It is adorned with plenty of pithy advice out of his personal experience, and many practitioners have greatly benefited by his instructions on how to remove hindrances and progress further along the path. This book is indispensable because it focuses exclusively on practice." This book is not by Thrangu Rinpoche but is a great resource because in this book the translator Erik Pema Kunsang gives the Tibetan in Tibetan script on the left page and his English translation of this on the right side. This book is 107 pages long. Thrangu Rinpoche has also given a lengthy commentary on this book in his Essentials of Mahamudra which can also be purchased on this website.
