Claro Walnut is an exceptional and unique wood for luthiers to use in building guitars and ukuleles. We started reclaiming and using Claro Walnut wood in 1970’s. The wood has unmatched qualities that will make great acoustic or electric instruments. The wood for these tops was a unique find. A grower had removed an old walnut orchard and had the burls sold. The burl buyer could not come up with the funds after the grower had done a lot of work to recover them. We were contacted and worked with the grower to make both slabs and instrument stock available. This is some of the best Walnut burl we have worked with. Claro Walnut is a great wood for electric guitar top. This piece showcases excellent figure, color, and burl. There are two book matched piece 0.27 x 7 1/2 x 21 1/8".
