Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026Time: 2:30 - 4:30 pm MTInstructor: Ashley Howisey, Certified Clinical Herbalist, Clinical Nutritionist Come walk along a peaceful trail by a beautiful, rushing creek at 8,500' and see the vibrant fall colors! This class is for beginners or a refresher class to learn about the medicinal properties of plants at this elevation. You will learn about ethical harvesting/wildcrafting, basic botany, medicinal uses and how to forage herbs as well as prepare them for use. Participants should come prepared with a rain jacket, layers, plenty of water, a snack, and sturdy hiking shoes or sandals suitable for uneven terrain. The route is primarily flat, at an elevation of approximately 8,600–8,800 feet, with only a few gentle inclines. No prior experience is required. This walk is especially well-suited for beginners, though participants of all experience levels are welcome. Additional Information: Recommended Age: 11+.
