This classic sweater is worked top down beginning with the back upper body. The shoulders are picked up and worked in rows with a gradual increase to form the deep “v” shape. The p iece is increased near the underarm then joined for knitting in the round. The lower body is worked in the round and finishes with a 1x1 rib with an Italian or sewn bind off. The sleeves are picked up and knit. The shape of the sleeves is created with a rapid decrease in the upper bicep, then worked straight for the rest of the sleeve.
