Description The Classical Female Bust stands 70cm tall on its two-tiered stepped plinth, presenting a forward-facing portrait of composed, sculpted authority. Every surface rewards close attention: a braided headband with engraved wreath detail crowns finely modelled curling hair, while rope-twist borders frame the neckline and shoulders, and an engraved acanthus band traces across the chest. Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting process, in which each form is individually pressed and finished by hand before patination. The result is a verdigris-patinated bronze bust with the depth and tonal variation that only genuine hand-finishing achieves: heavy green-blue verdigris across the raised surfaces, with darker pooling in the recessed detail work of the headband, tassels, and floral engraving. The aged finish is not applied uniformly but modulated by our finishing team to emphasise the sculptural relief and suggest decades of natural weathering.
