Curved elegant lines, acanthus leaves and various florals highlight this classic stencil design. The Cartouche can be decorated using our cartouche stencils (sold separately). We offer Cameo Ladies and Antique Vases stencils as cartouche options. Also you can get creative and paint a sky background, birds, landscape or even a portrait inside a cartouche. We even painted our cats dressed as 3 Musketeers!These panels can be stenciled using a traditional multi-color shading technique. They also look stunning stenciled in iridescent metallics, or simply rolled in 1 bold color for a more contemporary modern look. Cutting Edge Stencils strikes a balance between the elegant sophistication of smaller stencil bridges and the durability of the thicker ones. Always clean your stencils on a sturdy flat surface. The back of a baking tray or sheet pan works perfectly. These fine detailed stencils help you to achieve the hand-painted look of original 18-th century French panels. You can use stencil spray adhesive when working with large stencil designs but painters blue tape works well too. We only use the blue painters tape to secure our stencils.The stencil is made out of durable 12 mil clear plastic stencil material. This material is strong but flexible, reusable and easy to clean. We love it so much more than standard 5-8 mil Mylar! It's not brittle, user friendly and just so easy to work with. In our many years of professional stenciling this material has proven to be far superior than any other stencil material we used.
