Inban is a copper plate transer technique of printing patterns onto porcelain dishes (think stencils!) that developed rapidly since the Meiji period in Japan. Although the method i s called "Printing," each Inban dish is hand stamped, which leaves some imperfections and makes each dish one of a kind.
