Stoneware Clay Types: 1. Original White ES5 (Earthstone Clay) Earthstone ES5 Original White was the very first Earthstone Clay. ES5 fires white, matures between 1200-1290°C and is highly resistant to warping and cracking. The addition of a fine molochite means that ES5 Original White throws large pieces easily and responds well to both press moulding and slab building. Smooth Textured Crank ES60 (Earthstone) A medium grogged alternative to our Standard Crank, ES60 offers a finer surface and closer texture. This clay is ideal for hand builders and sculptors who require a warm, plastic clay with excellent green strength and a smoother finish than standard cranks offer. Inishowen Speckle SP50 (St Patrick's) A smooth clay with a pronounced speckle which will appear through the glaze under oxidising conditions. Suitable for modelling, casting and throwing. Fires to warm buff in oxidation. 4. Buff SP10 (St Patrick's) St Patrick Buff is an excellent general purpose clay for beginners with a slight grog.
