To get your clayware ready for use, begin by completely immersing it in clean water for a minimum of six hours. Alternatively, you can fully submerge it in water overnight by placing it in a sink. Afterward, remove the clayware from the water and ensure it dries completely before using. How to Clean Your Clayware These are NOT suitable for the dishwasher and should always be washed by hand with warm water. Do not use soap, as the porous clay will absorb the soap, leaving a soapy flavor. For deep cleaning, allow the clayware to soak overnight in water mixed with baking soda (ratio of 3 TBSP baking soda to 1 liter of warm water).
