Marc Krusin's Clay table begins with a single question: how little support does a surface truly need? The result is a composition of two volumes, top and base, held in quiet, delib erate tension. The balance feels daring, yet the presence it commands in a room is never aggressive. For Desalto, whose technical research continuously pushes the boundary between material and form, the Clay table represents a meaningful outcome. The MDF top receives a coating of special lava stone pastes, applied by broad knife in a process that recalls the slow, geological logic of its namesake material. The surface reads as both raw and refined, textured yet composed.
