A Quick Note About Wheel The best way to enjoy wheel is to approach it as “just for fun” and focus on the experience rather than perfection. Some classes you may make something pretty good, and some classes may simply be about learning and experimenting — both are part of the process. Please know that the pottery wheel can be frustrating at first, and it’s important to come in with realistic expectations. 99.9% of people will not learn how to properly center clay in just a few classes — wheel throwing is a skill that develops over time with practice. This is a great workshop to take multiple times as you build confidence and improve your technique. The process is messy, playful, and hands-on, and cleaning up is part of the wheel experience too. Good wheel work is usually built over many visits — and that’s part of the fun.
