Wild spring greens native to the western North and Central American mountains and coastlines. Grown for our catalog by Tobacco Road Farm in Northeastern, Connecticut, where they us e these succulent cold-hardy greens in their salad mixes. This plant is sometimes affectionately called Indian Lettuce by some indigenous people and often also called Miner's Lettuce by some settlers.
