Lysmata amboinensis Reef Safe The Cleaner Shrimp gets its name from the way it behaves. This peaceful shrimp sets up “cleaning stations” in the sea where fish with parasites come t o get cleaned. It is also called the Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp because of the red skunk-like stripe down its back. Their diet consists of freeze dried, frozen, and flake foods. They are sensitive to high nitrate levels and copper-based medications. These inverts are for saltwater aquariums only.
