PRODUCT INFO: HTH SPA Bromine 20g Tablets are designed to be used in a floating dispenser as a day to day sanitiser of hot tubs or spas. Why Choose Bromine Instead Of Chlorine For My Spa?: The main reason for choosing Bromine instead of Chlorine to use as the sanitiser in your spa is that Bromine will kill bacteria and viruses at higher temperatures and a wider pH range than Chlorine. The active ingredient, 1-bromo 3-chloro 5.5 Demethyl Hydantoin will produce Hypobromous Acid. This is the chemical that kills and destoys the bacteria and pathogens in spa water. At the higher temperatures and wider pH ranges that are found in spas, compared to swimming poosl, it will work more effectively than Hypochlorus Acid in your hot tub, which is the sanitiser Chlorine produces. When testing for it use a tester that will show Total Bromine How To Increase Bromine Levels in a spa using HTH SPA Bromine Tablets:Add 2-3 HTH SPA Bromine Tablets to the floating dispenserand allow to float in the spa water, with the filtration running, until the Total Bromine level has reached between 4-5ppm Check the Total Bromine levels in your hot tub regularly and aim for a reading of 4-5ppm to ensure the water is safe to use.
