Clearwood® PRISMA is an exciting 2024 release from Firmenich. It is previously a captive 100% natural (ISO 9235) and sustainable biotech product and marks the ten year anniversary of Clearwood, one of the company's most iconic products. We are excited to be the first retailer to offer this marvel. Clearwood® PRISMA boasts an astounding 90–99% patchoulol content and so, in pure form, it is solid (similar to candle wax) but at certain warmer temperatures it may be liquid. Firmenich also makes this product at 50% blended in Hedione® (product code 970961) due to the performance boost found in the their laboratory tests and as a prevention against solidification; we certainly concur with their master-perfumers and scientists — the Hedione Clearwood blend is a revelation. However, for those customers who prefer it, we also offer Clearwood PRISMA at 50% in odourless IPM. In Firmenich's own words: “Clearwood® Prisma, at low dosage, adds a sheer touch, harmonizing with a nuanced patchouli background. Compared to Clearwood® and Patchouli Indonesia, it reigns with sheer brilliance, keeping the citrusy sparkling notes and the spicy ones, while its counterparts, though voluminous, seem to veil the citrus and spice in their embrace. Clearwood® Prisma gives a new chypre-like vibe.” Clearwood® PRISMA blends with classic Clearwood®, Iso E Super and other light wood materials and can be used as a one for one replacer for natural patchouli oil. Use it in traces up to overdose. Undiluted Clearwood® PRISMA can serve as a stand in for the marvellous 99% pure Patchoulol Crystals that we also stock. From an olfactive perspective, Clearwood PRISMA is more intensely patchouli than the non-PRISMA product. It is still cleaner than classic patchouli oils but it has far more interesting facets than traditional Clearwood.
