This is a non-vining, bushy clematis. Give it support if you want it to be upright, or allow it to meander amongst its neighbors. From summer through early fall, individual blooms open violet-blue, then get pale lilac centers, and finally fade to a soft blue. Group 3 – Flowers only on new wood.
