Clever Dripper filter papers, Small & Large These are the authentic filter papers made specifically for the Clever Dripper's steep-and-release brewing system, sourced directly from the manufacturer and available in the UK exclusively through Ozone Coffee, the official UK distributor. Unlike generic cone filters such as Filtropa or Melitta, which can bunch, slow drainage, or compromise your brew in the Clever Dripper, these papers are precision-cut to sit perfectly in the brewer's valve system. The result is reliable flow, consistent extraction, and a clean, neutral cup every time. Made from FSC-certified wood pulp using Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) processing, the papers are flavour-neutral, biodegradable, and compostable. Sizes & compatibility Available in two sizes to fit both Clever Dripper models: Small: fits the 300ml Clever Dripper. Equivalent to a standard size 2 cone filter, also compatible with size 2 cone brewers including the Melitta 1x2, Hario V60 size 02, and similar. Large: fits the 500ml Clever Dripper. Equivalent to a standard size 4 cone filter, also compatible with size 4 cone brewers including the Melitta 1x4 and similar larger cone drippers. If you've previously been using Filtropa, Melitta, or other size 2 or size 4 cone papers in your Clever Dripper, these are the official replacement, cut specifically for the valve system they were designed around. These are the authentic papers manufactured by the maker of the Clever Dripper itself, not a third-party alternative. Ozone Coffee is the exclusive UK distributor, so this is the only place to buy them in the UK direct from source. What size should I choose? Small fits the 300ml Clever Dripper. Large fits the 500ml Clever Dripper. If you're unsure which model you have, check the base of your brewer: it will say 300ml or 500ml. The small is equivalent to a standard size 2 cone filter, and the large to a standard size 4. Can I use these filters with other brewers, not just the Clever Dripper? Yes. The small filter is a standard size 2 cone, compatible with size 2 cone brewers including the Melitta 1x2, Hario V60 (size 02), and similar. The large is a standard size 4, compatible with size 4 cone brewers such as the Melitta 1x4. They're the official Clever Dripper papers first and foremost, but they work well as a quality option for any compatible cone brewer. What's the difference between these and Filtropa or Melitta filters? Filtropa and Melitta filters are designed for standard cone brewers and aren't a precise fit for the Clever Dripper. In the Clever they can bunch up, slow drainage, and affect flavour clarity, particularly with lighter roasts. These papers are engineered specifically for the Clever Dripper's steep-and-release valve system, giving a better fit, more reliable flow, and a cleaner cup. Do I need to rinse the filter before brewing? We recommend it. A quick rinse with hot water removes any residual paper taste, preheats the brewer, and helps the filter sit flat and properly in the cone. That makes for a more consistent extraction. Are the filters environmentally friendly? Yes. They're made from FSC-certified wood pulp using Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) processing, with no chlorine bleaching, and are fully biodegradable and compostable. How many filters are in each pack? Each pack contains 100 filters, available in both Small (size 2) and Large (size 4).
