Professional Reviews 94pts Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot A wine that started with an excellent vintage in the Grampians. The colour is light and pale with a vivid luminosity. The nose opens with a distinct lemony essence that merges with highly floral influences. The palate is crisp and keen with those citrus characters reemerging along taut lines and a fine though very friendly acidity. It has a lovely mouth feel and a very long finish. 92pts Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion Sourced from the original Mount Langi Ghiran Bayindeen estate vineyard. Berries pressed to tank and fermented cool. The consistency factor with this wine is strong. Always shows a sunny-side-up front while reaching deeper in flavour on the palate – it can be quite subversive that way. Aromas of green apple, lime cordial, basil and jasmine. Explores the herbal side more fully on the palate with Thai basil, white pepper and ginger against a lime-citrus background. Deliciously chalky-dry in texture. 90pts Erin Larkin, The Wine Advocate The 2024 Cliff Edge Riesling leads with bath salts and lemon sherbet, talc and springtime florals. It is pretty, lifted and light, and the palate follows in exactly this vein. The acidity is pert to the verge of being tart, but it sits well within the frame of the wine. 92pts Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front Overt drinkability, that’s the message. Pure lime, lime jelly, orange rind, lemon and citrus leaf characters all combine to delicious effect. It has a bit of body and texture to it as well. It will no doubt take some age but it’s drinking a treat right now.
