Tim Smith's Climax Original Moonshine is the same recipe Tim's grandfather used. The corn, rye and barley are steeped in water at just the right temperature to extract the sugars. Next, the mixture is filtered through a log press then yeast is added to ferment it into an alcohol product that is ready for bottling. This original 'shine uses just enough sugar to sweeten the flavors of corn, rye and barley malt mash without masking them with too much sweetness.
