'To Captain J. N. Thorne and The Officers of the Ship...'.The ship was built in London, probably by Green's, in 1852 and for their London to Australia run. Here she flies their Green Blackwall line house flag at the main and is shown bound up-Channel off Dover. She also has a blue and white signal pennant at the mizzen, possibly in answer to a cutter yacht seen under her bows, which also flies the Green flag and a signal.
