This cloak is the Irish Ruana style which has split sides to allow for full arm movement and diverse methods of wear. These are imaged in the "drape" fashion but the wearer can choose to toss one or both front panels over the shoulder, crossing across the chest to allow easy access to the belt or all of the panels can be pressed flat against the body and belted to create a tunic look. I encourage you to explore all the varying ways this cloak can be worn. Made of a 50/50 fabric blend of cotton/linen, this very wearable cloak will be a staple in your LARP or Festival wardrobe. The natural fibers allow it to breathe and naturally wick moisture away from your body keeping you dry and more sanitary than when wearing synthetic fibers. On warm sunny days, wear it loose around your body, keeping the sun off your skin. On cooler days, wrap it in closer to help insulate your body's warmth. When it's really cold, belt it close to you and use it as the middle layer over your tunic and shirt but under your heavier winter cloak. Measurement: Front Panels: approximately 49" long x 22" wide Back Panel: approximately 53" long x 45" wide Hood: hangs approximately 19" down the back *the fabric is unwashed and will shrink about 1-2" if washed and dried in hot water and placed in the dryer. Ironing allows the fabric to flatten out to regain length. See care instructions for preferred laundering. Care: Wash cool with like colors. Lay flat or drape on a line to dry. Do not hang with clothespins, fabric will stretch oddly. If necessary, tumble dry low but remove before completely dry. Do NOT dry-clean.
