Our glass biaxial stitched cloth and tape wet out beautifully with any of our epoxies, turning fully transparent and draping easily into complex shapes. Why this cloth All our cloth and tape is a glass biaxial stitched type, which we've found holds epoxy well and goes transparent when soaked in any of our resins. It also has very good draping qualities, so you don't have to fight to get it to lay into shape. How to apply it For cloth, lay it on dry and let the epoxy wick through from underneath — a simple spread and a light roller pass is all that's needed. For tape, you can lay it wet or dry. With all cloth and tape work, allow a good overlap between pieces. Timing your next layer If you need to stop partway through a job, that's not a problem. If you can still mark the epoxy with a thumbnail, you're good to continue building up layers. If you can't mark it, leave it to cure fully, then abrade with 100-grit paper before continuing — just remember your overlap. Resin recommendation We recommend MAS Low Vis resin for all cloth and tape work. Once your cloth or tape is down, you can build up further depth using MAS FLAG resin.
