circa 1997Sterling silver 300 Hand-coiled links go into this piece, and a total of approximately 75 feet of silver wire. The design is an ancient Thai technique. An old friend, Kri stin Bacon, worked at an antique import store in Honolulu and they had a chain like this. I loved it, but at the time I wasn't about to shell out the cash. So I sat on a stool in a corner for an HOUR figuring out how it was made. I designed the clasp to be an extension of the rest of the piece.
