In this workshop, Makers will learn about chemical reactions and the viscosity of a fluid. Makers will practice following a recipe and observing how the various ingredients affect their compound. They will use their hands to measure, mix, and knead, creating scented cloud putty. They will design, develop, and manufacture their own unique Cloud Putty while observing the chemical reaction as the mixture transforms from a liquid to a non-Newtonian fluid. Using our Kitoodle scents and colors, Makers will explore a variety of ways to make their products unique. Through this workshop, they will hone their entrepreneurial skills explore the process of planning, creating, and modifying an item, and then packaging the finished product that can be used or shared. The curriculum provides lessons in basic chemistry, including liquids, solids, chemical reactions, and viscosity.
