Oil on Panel 30” x 40” 2026 Mark Poss creates atmospheric abstract landscapes that exist somewhere between memory and imagination. Influenced by 17th century Dutch landscape painti ngs, his compositions blend real and imagined places into quiet, immersive environments that feel slightly removed from the natural world. Working primarily in oil, Poss balances atmosphere and abstraction through layered surfaces and subtle shifts in light, creating paintings that leave space for reflection and wonder. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Poss is also the Director of Promotional Design at Fortessa, a leading tableware company based outside of Washington.
