This is about sunny, breezy afternoons, curled up on a blanket in the California Hills, enjoying the beautiful shapes of the hills and watching the clouds form, reform and change o verhead. It’s about utter relaxation, being in the moment, and enjoying simple pleasures. I exhale deeply just thinking about it. This was commissioned by a lady who had a great view of the California Hills before she had to move to another home. Now she can take the view with her. 💙 It was so fun to paint this undulating landscape with the trees and bushes nestled into the curves. I loved making the forms feel three dimensional.
