Base Coat · CND Shellac - Base Coat - 0.42 oz — Self-leveling soak-off gel base that bonds your color to a properly prepped nail plate for the full 3-4 week wear cycle. What It Does CND Shellac - Base Coat - 0.42 oz is a UV/LED gel base coat. Its job is one thing: bond your color gel chemically to the nail plate so the manicure does not lift at the cuticle, sidewall, or free edge. A good base goes on thin, self-levels into the natural curve, and cures to a clear, slightly tacky surface ready for color. Why Pros Choose This Self-leveling clear gel: no streaks, no pooling at cuticle Soak-off: removes cleanly with acetone, no aggressive filing Compatible with any soak-off gel polish applied on top Salon-tested formula How to Use Prep the nail (file, dust, dehydrator, bond if needed) Apply a thin layer of Gel Base Coat, cap the free edge Cure 60 seconds LED / 120 seconds UV Apply color gel, then top coat per your system Best For Home-studio owners, salon pros, and DIY users who want a reliable system staple at standard size.
