A small abstract harbour composition by Gösta Lindqvist, painted in softened tones of grey, mauve and pale blue with expressive accents of burnt orange and deep red. Loose brushwor k and layered texture give the work an intuitive, sketch-like quality, while the suggestion of a sailboat emerging from the composition lends the painting a quiet sense of atmosphere and place.
