Kiwi Feather Pearl Coaster. Native bird feathers of New Zealand. Genuine Mother of Pearl shell on wood. The Kiwi unique to New Zealand, the Kiwi cannot fly, has loose, hair-like fe athers, strong legs and no tail. Kiwi are mostly nocturnal and live can live between 25 and 50 years. The bird is a Taonga (treasure) to Maori, who have strong cultural, spiritual and historic associations with Kiwi.
