At a modified (lite) compression of 25 to 30 mmHg, the Coban 2 Lite Two-Layer Compression System, made by Solventum (formerly 3M), is for venous leg ulcers, oedema and lymphoedema in patients with an ABPI (ankle-brachial pressure index) of 0.5 or greater. Each kit holds two rolls, a Comfort Layer and a Compression Layer, that work together as a single system where lighter compression is appropriate. The Comfort Layer is a padded comfort foam roll on a cohesive backing that sits against the skin, and the Compression Layer is applied over it to set and hold the therapeutic pressure. Because the two layers cohere to each other rather than to skin or hair, the finished bandage is designed to reduce slippage so it stays in place for longer wear. Applied correctly, the system maintains sustained therapeutic compression for up to 7 days, which supports a consistent treatment routine between dressing changes.
