Understanding Coban Self-Adherent Wrap Coban Self-Adherent Wrap is a lightweight, elastic bandage favored by clinicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers for providing reliable compression and support. Its unique design allows it to adhere firmly to itself without sticking to skin, hair, or clothing, eliminating the need for clips or tape. This makes it an excellent choice for stabilizing joints, holding wound dressings in place, and managing compression during the healing process. Step-by-Step Application Guide To ensure the best results when applying your self-adherent compression wrap, follow these steps: Prepare the Skin: Ensure the target area is thoroughly cleaned and dried before you begin. Direction of Wrap: Start the application below the injury site and move upward toward the body. Manage Tension: Maintain a consistent, light tension as you wrap to provide effective compression. Overlap Layers: Ensure each pass overlaps the previous layer by approximately 50%. Finish and Secure: Once the area is covered, cut or tear the material and press the end down firmly against the wrap to lock it in place. Primary Applications Treating minor strains and joint sprains. Anchoring wound dressings securely. Utilizing compression therapy to reduce swelling. Providing targeted support for fingers, wrists, and ankles. Serving as a fast-acting alternative to traditional athletic tape.
