Elemental and approachable, Cocoon’s generous sizing and proportion embrace uses as a sleeping lounge, a sofa and a side table. Arms and back are constructed of hand-finished solid wood that emphasize a sculptural presence capable of holding the center of a room. Finger joinery details add a final touch. Designed for a furniture show in Santa Monica, California, the Cocoon Daybed immediately became a recognizable fixture in the studio’s offerings and led to countless bespoke iterations.
