Our Code Clear active humbucker is a ceramic bar loaded humbucker. By utilising a compact string spacing area, we've been able to create an active pickup with more clarity and openness to the tone than has ever been achieved. We've blended modestly wound coils with powerful magnets and a preamp that preserves much more of the natural timbre of the passive pickup than traditional active pickup preamps. This results in a focused pickup with great complexity of tone. Our preamp is designed to be used at 9 volts. We've rectified the inherent issues in the preamp of traditional active pickups to ensure that ours does not suffer from the common, and highly unpleasant, issue of internal clipping. The open frequency response and focused sensing window makes this an excellent pickup in the neck position with woody lows, a balanced mid range, and a smooth treble response. This pickup excels in the most intensive high gain applications. Our active humbuckers are fully compatible with standard 3 prong female leads used with many of the other famous active pickup brands. Installation will rarely be more than plugging these pickups in where the previous ones came out!
