The design of the Code 1 Shelf is inspired by the cladding on modernist buildings with different shelf heights for books, files and other objects. The unit comes either laminated or veneered, in both cases with exposed edges showing the dark grey MDF, a contrast which further enhances the graphic nature of the design. Thanks to an innovative sandwich construction the shelves are strong yet super thin (thickness of 1 cm only), with no need for shelf supports. Multiple Code shelves can be placed side by side to create a larger shelving system - the sides of the shelf contain concealed magnets, which enable the shelves to line up properly.
