Codiaeum variegatum (Croton) ‘Mrs. Iceton’Codiaeum variegatum ‘Mrs. Iceton’ carries broad pointed oval leaves whose colour changes dramatically with age. New blades open lime green to warm yellow, often with a softer pale centre. Pink, salmon, red and cream then spread through the glossy surface, sometimes leaving only small green sections around the margins.This progression remains visible along every woody branch. Yellow-green leaves gather at the active tips, mixed pink and cream occupy the middle, and the oldest foliage settles into deeper red or burgundy. The blades stay smooth, thick and leathery throughout the change. As side shoots multiply, the plant becomes a broad upright shrub with several colour sequences running at once. Large washes of colour spread across each leaf, giving a developed plant broad blocks of yellow, pink, cream and red.
